The first was my sling off eBay. It's absolutely fabulous! So well made, in perfect condition and sooooo comfortable. The reason I know this is because I've just tested wearing it, substituting baby for, I'm almost ashamed to say this, a biscuit barrel! Al suggested I try the cat, but I don't think she'd be up for it somehow! Photos to follow...
The second bit of post was the confirmation pack from the National Childbirth Trust regarding the antenatal course I've booked Al and I on. We start on 14th November in New Cross. I figured I'd book it for New Cross and if we've moved, I'll just come down and stay with friends (translation: impose myself on them!) There are four 3 hour sessions, a three hour women only session, a two hour partners only session and a breastfeeding session - yikes! How much is there to learn if we need 19 hours? Surely the labour will be that long!?
The best thing, is that I got the £240 course fee reduced to £24, as I'm on benefits. This is a LIFESAVER! We could never have afforded £240 and I'm not sure if you can even get antenatal classes on the NHS anymore! Either way, these classes look amazing, covering all aspects of labour, pain control and even early days with the baby. I'm so excited - I want to know now! I don't want to wait until November!!!
God I'm impatient...
