Bump Watch - 12 weeks

Thought I'd better start this a little earlier than last time, due to my lack of stomach muscles!

Twelve weeks today

The 11w 5d fear

It was on the fifth day, of the the eleventh week of my pregnancy with Dyl that I had a major road accident that nearly cost me my leg and my baby, and led to two weeks in hospital, four surgeries and most of my pregnancy on crutches and in a leg brace.

Today is my fifth day, of the eleventh week of this pregnancy - and by god I've been driving carefully!

Thursday, I will hit 12 weeks and a week today will be my '12 week' scan. Hopefully today is the start of things getting better and easier. Unlike last time!

Here's to a 'normal' pregnancy... Hopefully!!!!

First trimester blues...

Not been blogging much as I generally just feel so ill, tired and depressed. Even seeing Sidney Kidney Bean on the scan hasn't really perked me up.

I have one quite major issue at the moment - I have quite a clear bump. I'm not even 11 weeks yet and I've just been maternity clothes shopping with mum (belated birthday present, she's an utter star!). Looks like I'll be in maternity work trousers this week, and thank his I'm the only one in my office this week (though the loneliness isn't going to help my current state of blues.)

Still two weeks to my scan, and two weeks until I can 'come out'...

9w 6d. And my dates are correct, and my EDD IS 6th Sept!

Emergency scan

I'm having an emergency scan on Weds. Eeek! Get to see bubba - might finally be able to stop freaking out that it might be twins!!!

Is it me...?

...or am I showing? I'm only nine weeks. How can this be?

Bump Watch @ the BBC - Days 57 to 63

The foetal sac is now the size of a hen's egg. The foetus inside is three centimetres long - the size of a jelly baby! Some of the chorionic villi will now disappear, leaving others to grow and become the placenta. Eyes and ears develop rapidly at this time, and the beginnings of the skeleton are present. Your baby's heart has four chambers and beats twice as fast as yours. Muscles are developing so a scan would now show real movement. Amazing.

Wrong dates

Well what a surprise, my dates are wrong! Had the booking apt with the midwife today, who reckons I'm due 8th Sept and 9 weeks tomorrow, not today. Ah well, who knows!

Anyway, I'm booked and have my maternity notes now - very odd! Looks like I'm going to be consultant led due to Dylan's C-section. Hopefully that won't entail too many hospital trips!

Next stop - dating scan! :-)
